More of the machines I found in Alabama. Omar the Mystic. I have moved this piece into the Workshop and have big plans for Omar!

One of the machines I found in Alabama. Love Doctor Currently in the 'Workshop' section.

During a trip back to Alabama, my brother Mike brought me along to a friend's yard sale. While they caught up, I wandered around browsing the usual stuff, old tools, dusty boxes, the kind of stuff that accumulates in Southern garages. Then I walked into his garage and stopped dead in my tracks. Seven vintage penny-arcade machines. Just sitting there like they'd been waiting for me. I didn't even try to negotiate, instead I made him an offer on the spot and bought all seven. By the end of the day, they were strapped down in a trailer, and I was hauling them 2,000 miles back to California. The economics worked out perfectly: I flipped two of the Penny Press machines to cover the purchase price and transport costs. The other five? Those are now Workshop projects, waiting for their second lives.
